CALL TO ACTION
CLT Pulse would like to extend their condolences to the friends and families of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Abery, and countless others whose lives were overturned by police brutality.
As a South Asian Dance competition, we must acknowledge the sets that are performed are heavily influenced by the culture and community that are being senselessly persecuted. Having the privilege to benefit from black culture makes us responsible to fight for their right to not be targeted and for reform to be enacted.
We all can do this by donating to organizations and funds dedicated to cause as well as showing up for protests. Now more than ever, our voices need to be heard to show the country that we ALL believe change is necessary.
We also must make sure we don't let this passion fade. This issue will not be solved if we don't see it through to the end. In order to do this, we will provide links for places to donate, petitions to sign, and black owned businesses you can support in the meantime.
